I wonder what the quality of a re-encoded file is compared to just ripping it again, anyway. I've been to those boards, and there are a few elitst whiners who like to play the "I'm not going to spoon feed you" card a lot. If not, I'll just have to live without chapter markers when playing on the iPod as it took a lot of time and effort to rip the concerts from the original DVDs to the Apple TV! I've had to open them with Visual Hub and then convert them to the appropriate iPod file. Handbrake doesn't recognize the files it made. Now, I want to do the same thing, but this time with an iPod setting (so the file size will be considerably smaller). I've ripped these DVDs with chapter markers so I can skip songs.
